Luchetti True-Flat™ Sketchbook - 8" Square

Luchetii has achieved in creating a true watercolor book that works equally as well in the studio and en plein aire. It's exceptional and I would highly recommend it to any artist looking for the best.

The book is phenomenal. Flats could be with paper that’s equal to arches paper absorbs water. Excellent layering of water is so easy no buckling of the paper. I’m on my third one highly recommend phenomenal product.

I could tell just from the protective box that this is going to be a quality product. From the binding to the 300lb paper, this is special and will be used for my more important works.

Absolutely the nicest sketchbook. The paper is fantastic, it truly lays flat. Takes watercolor paint so well, with room to move around the pigment with no paper damage. Loved it!

It took a bit to get used to the extra thick paper, but there aren't enough words to say how much I love this book. Painting right to the edge of the paper is just as amazing as painting right over the seam. As a watercolor artist, I am super picky about paper in general, and yours is great. The texture and sizing are unique, but easy to get used to. This sketchbook is an absolute joy to paint in. I have the cold press and just bought another in hot press and am eagerly waiting for it

This watercolor journal has definetely exceeded my expectations! I threw everything I had at a page-watercolor, ink, lots of water, and the journal handled it beautifully! I got so carried away that I accidentally had ink spill off the sides pouring onto the side of the journal…total proof of a moment of experimentation and joy! Thanks!

I received my sketchbook a few days ago and I love it already. I haven't painted across the 2 page spread yet but I can appreciate it. I really like the paper and the quality of the sketchbook. I also appreciate that it is vegan friendly.

I love and am enjoying everything about it! Am excited for the new travel size, as well !

This is an outstanding sketchbook! The paper behaves so nicely, and the design actually does everything it promises. I own both the hot and cold press versions, and recommend either. Also, this sketchbook would make an amazing gift for any artist (or just keep it yourself).

I love this sketch book. Shape size, quality of the paper, and of course that the pages lay flat. At first it did take a minute to get over the preciousness of it, it is definitely a little more than I would typically spend on a sketchbook but once I did I loved it so much I bought another for my birthday present to myself!!

These are soooo good…,I love flooding the pages with heavy color washes…no curling no warping…gr888 if you made them larger I’d buy more 👍🏻

I purchased a cold press and hot press 8 inch sketchbook in black. I love the weight of the paper and the ability to paint across pages with no crease. Fantastic to paint on with my guache.

Love these sketchbooks

As someone who paints in watercolor 90% of my artmaking time, I found the hot press Luchetti to be exactly what I wanted. I opened it from its elegant box, took a moment to enjoy the beautiful binding and weight, then started trying out the pages immediately. The smooth paper makes watercolor do what watercolor does best. The flow and brightness of the pigments on the paper make it easy to create something beautiful right away. Thank you, Luchetti. This is my second sketchbook (I have the cold press sketchbook), and I will definitely be buying a few travel size Via’s when they are available.

I loooove my Luchetti flat sketchbook. I paint in it once a month, using both sides of the paper, and it is wonderful. I really feel accomplished after I finish a painting. I look forward to what is next for me, and Luchetti!

I finally painted in my Luchetti cold press sketchbook, and I was so glad I did. It was a joy! I worked very wet on wet and it worked perfectly! It worked exactly as it should, and it’s so hard to find in a sketchbook! The gutter was truly flat too! No buckeling at all. Loved it!

I really like my new sketchbook! I used it to play with new paints, water control and to get a feel for the paper. It absorbs lots of water so water control is important. It truly does lay flat so painting across papers was easy and relatively smooth.

I’ve already done my first drawing in it using a Blackwing 602 pencil, and I’m very satisfied with the paper quality and binding. These have quickly become my absolute favorite sketchbooks!!! The touch and feel of the paper is absolutely first class! And the ability to literally drowned any page in virtually any media, and have it not soak through is mind blowing. And for being such an elegant sketchbook, it is surprising how durable these are. Mine so far have held up to countlessly going in and out of bags shoved in the back of airplane seat pockets, and gone in and out of trunks and at worst, they look like a well-worn piece of luggage. You definitely have a customer for life.
