FAQ

Will it buckle with watercolor?
The 600gsm 100% cotton paper is designed to handle heavy watercolor with minimal buckling, even under heavy saturation.

Does it really lay completely flat?

Yes. The True Flat™ binding allows every spread to open fully with no gutter or stitching. There is only a thin seam in the center where the paper folds, so you can work seamlessly across both pages.

What makes Luchetti different from other sketchbooks?
Most sketchbooks are limited by thinner paper and traditional binding.

Luchetti was designed from the ground up to eliminate the gutter while supporting heavier media.

At 600gsm, it features the thickest paper ever offered in a traditionally bound sketchbook, allowing you to work with more water and more freedom without compromise.

Can I use both sides of the paper?
Yes. Each sheet is made from two bonded 300gsm cotton sheets, creating a 600gsm surface that can be used front and back.

What is the difference between hot press and cold press texture?
Cold press
has a natural texture (“tooth”) that grips water and pigment, making it ideal for watercolor, washes, and expressive brushwork. It enhances granulation and gives your work more organic texture.

Hot press is smooth with almost no texture, allowing for sharper lines and more control. It’s better suited for fine detail, ink, pen work, and controlled watercolor techniques.
